Summer festivals cancelled
There will be no music festivals or gigs happening this summer.
Yesterday The Government announced new COVID-19 measures.
They will not be granting licences for gatherings of over 5,000 people before September.
While there is still some hope for Electric Picnic, this means Longitude, Body & Soul and more events will no go ahead as planned.
A number of Irish festivals have released statements:
Life Festival
Life Festival promoters say the safety of their audience and staff comes first.
They've asked ticket holders to be patient and keep an eye on social media and the Life Festival website.
All those with tickets for the 2020 event will be contacted in the coming days.

Body & Soul
Avril Stanley, Founding Director of Body & Soul Festival shared a statement on Instagram yesterday.
It begins: 'This is a challenging time for everyone, including the Body&Soul family, and I am heartbroken to confirm that Body&Soul 2020 cannot go ahead'.
Ticket holders will be contacted about the refund process as soon as possible.

Indiependence Festival
The Indie team fully agree with The Government's decision.
Those who bought tickets online will get an email from tickets.ie.
While promoters are asking those who bought tickets locally to keep an eye on social media and the Indiependence website.

All Together Now
The team behind All Together Now said everyone's safety takes total precedence at this time of global crisis.

Ticketmaster will be in contact with ticket holders within the next 7-days.
The Instagram statement also confirmed that ATN 2021 will happen from 30th July - 1st August next year
