Three Ireland Announces Limerick-Based Winners Of The Grant For Small Businesses Programme

Three Ireland is pleased to announce AgriGuardian Limited and Braw from Limerick as two of the 10 winners of Three’s Grant for Small Businesses Programme.

Three’s Grant for Small Businesses Programme sought to fund 10 small businesses and award them a portion of the €100,000 bursary which is made up of cash, in addition to advice, support and connectivity solutions from Three Ireland’s expert business advisers. Applicants for the cash grants were open to all businesses based in the Republic of Ireland, had a workforce of 1-9 employees and had been trading for a minimum of 6 months.

AgriGuardian Limited have a simple mission to save lives on farms.

With its smart wearable devise that is monitored by a guardian, it is protecting the most vulnerable on farms, those under 16-years-old and those over 65-years-old.

With Alert Zone Warnings, Proximity Warnings and Anchoring settings, the guardian is able to monitor dangerous areas of farms to ensure no vulnerable person is at risk.

With the help from Three’s Grant for Small Business Programme, AgriGuardian will aim to reduce the number of serious injuries on farms and plan to add auxiliary features to its wearable devices, such as an integrated torch, step counter and various colour options to make the device more appealing to the wearer.

Braw is a Limerick-based bakery and chocolate maker that supply treats and baked goods wholesale to restaurants, cafes and retailers nationwide.

Launched at the start of the pandemic, Braw began as an at-home passion project that quickly turned into a rapidly expanding wholesale supply business.

Braw will use the grant from Three’s Small Business Programme to invest in equipment to upscale its chocolate production abilities.

Currently, the company is hand making and hand wrapping each bar of chocolate sold and cannot meet the increasing demand due to the hand-made aspect of its business.

With this grant Braw will invest in a temporary machine which with enable them to make 250 bars of chocolate per day, an amount which currently takes a full week meet.

The winners of Three’s Grant for Small Businesses Programme are Byowave, Agriguardian Limited, Her Sport, Milk Bath, Scéal Beag Designs, Tullahay Farm, Pure Zees Limited, Protoproducts Co Ltd. T/a SmallWall School Products, Roonagh Point Ventures Ltd., and Braw.
