Spiking cases have grown since last year.

Many have taken to social media in recent weeks to warn women of being spiked.

According to the Gardaí, they have received fewer than 25 incidents of spiking up to November 11th.

That's a rise from 10 reported incidents over the course of 2020.

Those who have been spiked includes cases of drinks and even food being tampered with.

But according to the Garda report, they don't have evidence of 'injection spiking' incidents.

Gardaí have received several injection spiking reports - but say most of them have been vague.

Many colleges have launched campaigns, such as UCDSU above, to raise awareness on how to spot it happening.

The situation in Britain is even more stark according to British police officials.

They have received 274 cases of spiking over a two-month duration.

An Garda Síochána say they are working closely with agencies such as the HSE on the issue.
