Nurses have decided to hold more strike days.

The INMO  is escalating its industrial action, announcing two more strike days later this month.

Nurses and midwives will mount pickets at hospitals again as planned on Tuesday and Thursday next week.

This evening's announcement adds the 19th and 21st of February to the already planned dates on the 12th, 13th and 14th.

The number of services taking part in the strike will now rise from 82 to 240.

Nurses and midwives are looking for increased staffing levels and better pay, and claim the government has so far failed to engaged meaningfully.
