More Restrictions Eased As Zoos And Heritage Parks Reopen

More Level 5 restrictions are being eased from today

Zoos, wildlife parks and heritage sites will reopen today as part of a further easing of restrictions.

Outdoor sports facilities, such as golf courses and tennis courts, will also be allowed to reopen their doors from today.

Children's sports can also resume as they can take part in pods of less than 15.

The restrictions which have been eased from today are as follows:

  • Outdoor sports such as golf and tennis.
  • Outdoor visitor attractions such as zoos and heritage parks, but NOT including amusement parks.
  • Underage non-contact outdoor training in pods of 15 or fewer can restart
  • Maximum attendance at funerals will increase to 25

As for next month, there are plans to ease more restrictions.

These include:

  • Full reopening of construction
  • Phased return of non-essential retail commencing with click and collect and outdoor retail.
  • Recommencement of personal services (hairdressers etc) on a staggered basis
  • Reopening of museums, galleries and libraries
  • Recommencement of religious services on a staggered basis

In addition, the government is set to announce its plans for June and July this week.
