Mayweather Offers To Pay Funeral Costs: George Floyd Protests Continue

Floyd Mayweather has offered to pay funeral costs for George Floyd and his family.

So according to TMZ Sports, the legendary boxer has donated a cheque for $88,500.

George Floyd died during an arrest in Minneapolis last week when a police officer knelt on his neck.

Also, Mayweather has previously paid for funeral services for Genaro Hernandez and Joe Frazier.

"Some Coward Fired Shots At Officers"

St. Louis Police Chief John Hayden got emotional while speaking to KSDK News.

"Some Coward fired shots at officers, and now we have four in the hospital."

"Thank god..... thank god they're alive."

".....can we make some sense out of this?!"

"Can we make some sense out of this, that's all I'm trying to say."

He gave an update of what happened last night in the city:

"Some folks, a group of 200 or so obviously had no intention on protesting or doing anything constructive."

"They started throwing things, they started looting, we had to protect our headquarters."

"They were throwing fireworks and fireworks were exploding on officers."

 

George's Brother Asks People To Vote - Not Riot

Terence Floyd addressed a crowd in Minneapolis yesterday - last night Irish time.

He was speaking a an independent port mortem examination on George's body found he died of asphyxiation.

Terence told people to vote instead of engaging in civil unrest:

"What are y'all doing? What are y'all doing!"

"...because that's not going to bring my bother back at all!"

George Floyd Protests: Trump Threatens To Send Army

Six police officers have been shot and injured as protests continued last night.

President Donald Trump last evening threatened to use the US Army to "dominate the streets."

He compared the unrest to domestic terror.

"The destruction of innocent life and the spilling of innocent blood is an offence to humanity, and a crime against God."
