Now this is dedication.

Over the weekend, muggles were left  a little bit surprised and confused when a teaser trailer for Voldemort: Origins of the Heir was doing the rounds on social media. Purely because there was no whisper of a Harry Potter spin-off prior to the trailer dropping, and fans were unsure if it was legit or not.

Sadly it isn't, but it's putting the feelers out to gauge reaction for a prequel.

Tryangle Films created a trailer for a movie which will tell the tale of Voldemort's past. It's all in the hope of getting a prequel movie on the big screen.

The movie aims to follow the journey of Tom Riddle, during his time at Hogwarts, right up to his days as the Dark Lord.

Obviously if this was to go ahead, permission would have to be given by JK Rowling. But, given that it has gone viral over the weekend, she may consider it.

After fans viewed it, they were taking to Twitter to express their reactions. It seems JK has been inundated with questions, too!

JK Rowling has yet to comment on this, as she's clearly been busy working on the second Fantastic Beasts movie.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/jk_rowling">@jk_rowling</a> have you already write the script of Fantastic Beasts 2?
