Gardai in Limerick are appealing for witnesses after a hit and run left one man critically injured.

Three women also suffered non-life threatening injuries following the crash in the early hours of this morning.

The crash happened at Corn Market Row in Limerick at about 1am according to Henry Street Garda Station.

A man and two women were struck by a vehicle, which left the scene.

Paramedics brought all three to University Hospital Limerick by ambulance.

The 33 year old man suffered serious injuries and is in critical condition.

The two female pedestrians (both in their late 30s) received non-life threatening injuries.

A 19 year old female pedestrian also presented at University Hospital Limerick.

She was injured by the same vehicle at the same time.

Her condition is non-life threatening.
