Britney Spears is preparing for a potentially life-changing hearing later as her conservatorship looks set to come to an end.

A judge in LA will decide whether to terminate the legal arrangement that's controlled her life and finances for almost 14 years.

The singer's previously described it as "abusive".

Conservatorship lawyer Tamar Arminak says there's no question about what will happen.

"There is no opposition to the conservatorship ending for the first time in thirteen years. All parties involved, be it Britney, her attorney, the court representatives, her father, her conservator Jodi Montgomery. All are in agreement, and thus there is no opposition."

Britney's Fiancé Sam Asghari posted this video on Instagram , showing the popstar sporting a #FREEBRITNEY tee, with the caption reading "loading"

The singer appears in court later today, where a judge will decide whether to end the conservatorship.

Los Angeles judge Brenda Penny is expected to rule on requests to end the controversial legal arrangement.
