There are calls for big screens to be erected in Limerick City for the upcoming All-Ireland Hurling Final.

The Treaty County qualified for their first All-Ireland decider in 11 years yesterday, beating Cork in a thrilling game at Croke Park.

Limerick will have the chance to win a first Liam McCarthy Cup since 1973 on August 19th, when they'll face either Galway or Clare.

Speaking to Fully Charged with Ed and Meghann this morning Councillor Daniel Butler says he is hopeful the entire community can come together for the occasion:

"What I'm working on is trying to get a large screen for the city centre so we can all watch it together. We have looked outside City Hall as a good space as its a good wide open space, cause it can be contained and its safe, really its dictated by the Gardaí and what they feel is safe."
