Ongoing dispute at meat factories

3,000 staff have been temporarily laid off from meat factories across the country.

Meat Industry Ireland says it's because of the ongoing protests outside their plants, as farmers picket over prices.

MII claims the blockades are illegal, and says staff and supplied are being intimidated by protesters.

As well as the layoffs, hundreds of indirect jobs will be impacted.
