Lil Nas X Appointed President of League of Legends Video Game

Pop superstar Lil Nas X has been appointed President of multiplayer video game League of Legends, commonly known as LOL.

The video game, owned by Riot Games has around 180 million monthly players.

The singer has proclaimed he’ll be the ‘greatest’ President it’s players have ever seen.

“I felt like it was time for me to try something new," the rapper, who is now being referred to online as LOL Nas X said.

"I’ve left my mark on pop culture in so many ways, and now it’s time to take on the world of gaming."

He's also promised to create the best World Championships anthem of all time.

It'll be called STAR WALKIN' and it'll debut on September 23rd.

STAR WALKIN'

Lil Nas says he's going to put on the biggest, coolest, sexiest" e-sports competition in history.

“STAR WALKIN’ is the only song anyone is allowed to listen to from now on. Swag fr!” he concluded.


Riot Games

"League" parent company Riot says the 23 year old will create ‘explosive musical moments,’ starting with the anthem for this years’ World Championships.

It's Global Head of League Esports, Naz Aletaha, says Lil Nas X is "the most electrifying name in music."

He continues, "so when he showed up at our headquarters and told us that he wanted to be President of League and join us throughout Worlds, we of course said ‘yes’.”

League of Legends World Championships kick off on September 29th in Mexico City.
