Her Hamnet co-star Paul Mescal missed out on a nod in the Best Supporting Actor category.

However, the film has plenty to celebrate with numerous other nominations, including Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Costume Design, and the newly introduced category, Casting.
Dubliner Richard Baneham is up for his third Oscar in the Visual Effects category in the recently released Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Animated short Retirement Plan is also among the Irish Oscar nominees.
Elsewhere, vampire thriller Sinners has broken the all-time Oscars record with 16 nominations.

The nominations were announced by actors Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman in Beverly Hills via a livestream.
The Oscars, hosted by Conan O'Brien, will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, 15 March.
