The Breakfast Club's edited promo picture

The Breakfast Club fans have been reacting on Twitter after spotting the movie's promo picture on Netflix has been edited.

The original photo shows Anthony Michael Hall's character Brian Johnson holding a joint.

However, in Netflix's image, the joint has been replaced with a pencil.

Twitter user @ballofreget went viral after he shared a screenshot of the edit online.

His post has been retweeted over 43,000 times, and has accumulated over 300,000 likes.

Many responded with hilarious memes, while others were just outraged.

One user joked, 'They’re doing it with every movie now!!!'

He then posted an edited picture of Sylvester Stallone's Rambo holding a giant pencil.

While another Twitter user claimed, 'This is a common cover for the film'

'Places like Walmart etc back in the 90's demanded this type of change.'

'chances are Netflix computers randomly assigned this cover when the movies went up.'

Others were frustrated by the editing, 'Excuse me Netflix but... INSTEAD OF JUST USING A DIFFERENT PHOTO'

Another Twitter user simply responded, 'Pathetic'

While one user wrote, 'the disrespect'
