Lizzie McGuire is being rebooted and the first set photo has been released.

Back in August, it was announced via Hilary Duff's (who plays Lizzie Maguire) Instagram that Disney would be rebooting the series.

The hit show first aired back in 2001 and the last episode finished up in 2004.

It follows a 13-year-old Lizzie McGuire, as she goes through High School dreaming of popularity.

The actress has recently uploaded a photo to her Instagram which has confirmed that, Hallie Todd, Robert Carradine and Jake Thomas, the original cast who played her family will return.

The four pose in what soon will be the McGuire living room, Duff captions the photo.

Fans are, as expected, delighted with the news.
