iCarly

An iCarly reboot is reportedly in the works for the new Paramount+ streaming service.

According to TV Line some of the original stars are involved.

The publication claim Miranda Cosgrove, who played Carly, will return for the reboot.

She'll be joined by her onscreen brother Jerry Trainor and Freddie actor Nathan Kress.

It's still unclear whether Sam actress Jenette McCurdy will return.

TV Line report Jay Kogen, who worked on School of Rock, will develop the reboot.

He'll work alongside Ali Schouten, whose previous works include Diary of a Future President and Merry Happy Whatever.

They'll also act as executive producers and co-showrunners.

The new series will live on Paramount+.

It's the CBS All Access rebranded service launching early next year.

They'll combine original content with shows from CBS, MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and more.

The original series

The original series was created by Dan Schneider and ran from 2007 to 2012.

Nickelodeon however, cut ties with the creator in 2018.

As quoted by Deadline, it followed, 'an investigation into complaints about alleged misconduct.'

The series follows the story of a group of best friends who create their own web show called iCarly.

They film from the apartment loft she lives in with her older brother Spencer.

Sam, Carly and Freddie must juggle their teen lives with their newfound fame as the show becomes an internet phenomenon.

No official announcement has been made yet so fingers crossed it goes ahead!
