Vicky Phelan's Instagram Acccount Hacked While In America Getting Her Treatment!
The Limerick Native's Instagram account grew exponentially after her appearance on the Late Late Show, prior to leaving for the US.
CervicalCheck campaigner traveled to the US for experiential cancer treatment in January.
Vicky documented her progress almost daily on her account that nearly hit 80k followers.
In an IGTV Vicky explained how the hackers got into her account. Vicky applied for verification on her Instagram account on the advice of her daughter, she later received a DM from said hacker posing as Instagram asking for her login details to her account to finalise the verification process.

To add fuel to the fire, Vicky received a message from the hacker explaining how he wanted $3500 to retrieve her account.

Through the effort of Vicky's followers reporting the page to Instagram, she managed to get her old page back but she has decided to stick with her new Instagram profile.
