Panem is calling again — and this time, it’s going further back than ever.
A brand new trailer has dropped for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, a prequel inspired by Suzanne Collins’ novel, set decades before Katniss Everdeen’s story.

The film centres on a young Haymitch Abernathy and the terrifying 50th Hunger Games — a Quarter Quell twist that doubles the number of tributes, raising the stakes to a brutal new level.
Leading the cast is Joseph Zada as Haymitch, joined by Ralph Fiennes as President Snow and Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket, alongside a packed lineup of familiar names in younger roles.
With Francis Lawrence back in the director’s chair, the film promises a deeper, darker look at the Games and the history behind one of District 12’s most iconic victors.
