MET Eireann has issued a wind warning this evening for the entire country
There will be winds of up to 100 km/h set to hit at midnight tonight lasting until tomorrow morning.
The National Forecaster warned that southerly winds will average 50 to 60 km/h with strong gusts of 90 to 100 km/h blowing in.
Winds will be at their worst in coastal areas
Winds are expected to be their strongest in coastal areas.
“Southerly winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 60 km/hr with gusts of 90 to 100km/hr. The strongest winds will be in coastal areas.”
Temperatures will continue to plummet tonight, with lows of -1.
Cold early tonight with frost in places as temperatures fall to between -1 and +1C.
