Siamsa Tíre announce stunning Spring Events Guide

If ‘music be the food of love’, treat yourself and a loved one at Siamsa Tíre with this springs’ live music events including traditional, country and popular music, comic opera, and musicals.

 

Irish National Opera presents Donizetti’s sparkling operatic comedy Don Pasquale (Sat 11th Feb). This witty, high-spirited, inter-generational tug of war is about young love and old money, whipped up by lots of deceit - a fun introduction to opera or a real treat for opera fans.

 

Country music fans can get toe-tapping at Legends of American Country (Sun 19th Feb), which showcases highly acclaimed tributes to country icons with well-known singalong hit songs in this must-see musical extravaganza. Declan Nerney is live in concert (Sun 23rd April) for a night of nostalgic music, song and laughter with his band and special guests John Hogan and Owen Mac.

 

A special memorial concert takes place as part of the Civil War in Kerry Centenary Conference. Their Memory Will Endure will feature song, music, poetry and letters from the Civil War period to close out the conference (Sat 25th Feb).

 

Tommy Marren returns with Crokey Hill Players (Fri 10th & Sat 11th March) to present ‘Celebration Ireland’ a two hour show celebrating all things Irish as it captures our history, culture and music through 10 decades, laced with nostalgia, memories, comedy and song.

 

Scotland’s greatest living female voice, Eddi Reader returns to Tralee for her 40 Years Live Tour (Fri 24th March). One of popular music’s most thrilling and affecting performers, this tour promises to be something special.

 

Musical lovers can enjoy St John Of God Kerry Services’ modern high school musical Totally 80s (4th & 5th April) and get swept up in romance, comedy, suspense and deeply emotional production of ‘Ghost the Musical by Tralee Musical Society’s (12th – 15th April).
