With a unique course route that winds through the North Kerry vistas along the Wild Atlantic Way, competing in Ballybunion Half Marathon and 10 km road race is an experience you will never forget.
While challenging hills are interspersed along the route, the scenic views atop each and every one of them are enough to motivate each climb.
Ballybunion Half Marathon and 10 km road race simultaneously caters to the most competitive of racers and the most casual of walkers, motivating every competitor to achieve their personal best.
For those who compete to win, the Eamon Fitzmaurice Perpetual Trophy is awarded to the first half marathon competitor to cross the finish-line. Prizes will also be awarded separately to men and women overall and in the over 40s category. However, each competitor will be able to access their personal race time online within hours of completing the race so whether you place or not, you can always check if you’ve out-paced yourself.
In our efforts to make this a fun-filled day for the whole family, we also host a 1 kilometre kids race that includes a lap around the town of Ballybunion. Every child will receive a t shirt and an Easter egg upon crossing the finish line before the main race begins at 2 o’clock.
