Cannonball Crusaders Hit The Irish Roads

If fast, flashy cars are your thing, then you’re in for a treat this weekend.

Cannonball, the action-packed supercar spectacle, blasted off from Malahide Castle today.

150 of the world’s most spectacular cars have hit the open road as part of a massive charity drive.

The event has raised over €1.1 million in the past.

This year’s drivers will be putting the pedal to the metal for Irish charity HOPE.

The HOPE Foundation provides vital services for street children in the Indian city of Kolkata (formerly Calcutta).

The Cannonball convoy is headed for Cork, before roaring on to Kerry, Clare, Galway, Westmeath, Longford, Meath, Cavan, Louth and Antrim.

Anyone wanting to catch a glimpse of the supercars in action can check out Cannonball's social media for location updates and details of safe viewing points here.
