Following on from the successful opening of Brown’s Brasserie Cork in late 2022, the innovative team behind The SpitJack on Bedford Row are now expanding their reach into Brown Thomas’ store in Limerick from this month.

Owners Laura Sureda and Richard Gavin live in the Treaty County and already have a presence at the heart of the city, having opened The SpitJack Rotisserie Restaurant on Bedford Row in 2020. Partnering with the group’s Executive Head Chef John O’Mahony, they first brought the Brown’s Brasserie idea to life in Brown Thomas Cork last year and all eyes are now firmly focused on the Midwest.

Inspired by French cuisine, Brown’s Brasserie Limerick will deliver everything to be expected from restaurateurs that believe in supporting Irish producers and creating exceptional food experiences, while providing brilliant customer service with a smile.

Brunch favourites include gorgeous updates on a range of classic Eggs Benedict dishes, including The Legrand topped with crispy streaky bacon, the Avocat for those that love a little avocado, and the Le Noir with Jack McCarthy’s Black Pudding. For something a little different, diners can pick from no less than three varieties of delicious French toast (raspberry & meringue, chocolate, or the Américain, with dry cured bacon).

A full daytime menu offers a selection of sandwiches, salads, starters, mains, and desserts to tempt any taste buds. The French Dip with rotisserie North Cork sirloin steak is simply mouth-watering! Brown’s salads fly out of the kitchen, while a beautiful West Cork Chicken Ballotine, Ballycotton Fish Cake, or Brown’s Hamburger will satisfy any empty belly. The Apple Tart Tatin, a slice of Chocolate Mousse Cake, or staff favourite Mille Feuille are highlights for those with a sweet tooth.

Veggie options include a Vegetarian Brioche choice for Brunch as well as a hearty Vegan Pithivier main, which is a roasted vegetable and butter bean ragu, complete with grilled asparagus, tomato salsa & rocket.

An eclectic drinks menu completes the Brown’s Brasserie experience. For more info head over to their social pages on Facebook and Instagram.

Opening on May 13th on Level 1 in Brown Thomas Limerick, Brown’s Brasserie’s Breakfast and Brunch menu will be available Monday to Friday from 10am to 12pm, Saturday from 9am to 1pm, and Sunday from 11am to 1pm.

The daytime menu will be available Monday to Friday from 12pm to close, and Saturday and Sunday from 1.15pm to close.
