Saoirse Ronan is stepping into rock royalty — she’s set to play Linda McCartney in Sam Mendes’s wild new Beatles biopic series.
The four-part film saga, titled The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, will spotlight each member of the Fab Four. Ronan joins Paul Mescal, already cast as Paul McCartney, with Barry Keoghan as Ringo, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison.
Set to hit screens in April 2028, the project is the first time the Beatles and their families have given the green light for full access to their life stories and music.
Ronan is expected to play a major role in McCartney’s chapter — no word yet on whether she’ll pop up in the others. She and Mescal previously teamed up in the 2023 thriller Foe.
Director Mendes is calling the series the “first binge-able theatrical experience.” We’re calling it the hottest music movie event in years.
