According to Complex, the leaked track in question is a collaboration with Lil Baby.

And the words which have sparked controversy online are, "Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin' out with my chopper, it be another Kobe."

In another line, the outlet allege Lil Baby says he wants to, "have a son, so I can name him Kobe/Daughter Gigi."

Bryant, and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna were killed in a helicopter crash in California last January.

So understandably, many feel the track's lyrics are incredibly insensitive.

One Twitter user said, 'The line was definitely insensitive and done in poor taste.'

Meek Mill seemingly reacts

The rapper has taken to Twitter following the backlash.

And while he doesn't specifically mention the leaked lyrics, many have interpreted these tweets as his response.

Meek wrote, 'somebody promo a narrative and y’all follow it.... y’all internet antics cannot stop me ....'

In his next tweet, Meek said, 'They paying to influence y’all now ... its almost like mind control “wake up”'

And in another post, he wrote, 'People be texting me like don’t let the net get you down lol i be like don’t let it get you down I didn’t even see that shit prolly won’t either “live right now”'

No further comment has been made.
