His publicist confirmed that Harington has checked into a "wellness retreat" to work on some "personal issues" in the US.
The British actor is reportedly seeking help for "stress" and "alcohol".
Kit, 32, is said to have checked into the facility weeks ago ahead of the Game of Thrones finale airing.
A rep for the Game of Thrones actor said:
"Kit has decided to utilise this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues."
His wife, Rose Leslie - who he met on the set of GoT - is said to be "extremely supportive" of her husband, as it was rumoured that the end hit Kit hard.
