The outlet claim work commitments and family logistics got in the way of things so they decided to split amicably.

Gillian has a 26-year-old daughter named Piper, with her ex husband Clyde Klotz.
The actress married Clyde in 1994 before separating three years later.
She also shares 14-year-old Oscar and 12-year-old Felix with her ex Mark Griffiths.

In 2016, MailOnline reports she started telling friends she was dating Peter.
The Sex Education star opened up about their relationship to The Times in January.
She revealed they don't live together, and if they did, 'that would be the end of us.'
Gillian explained, 'It works so well as it is, it feels so special when we do come together.'
'And when I am with my kids, I can be completely there for them. It's exciting.'
