Ed Sheeran has come out to say that having a successful Music career has to lead to him missing out in many milestones since becoming famous.

Speaking to The Sun the Thining out Loud singer revealed he was unable to spend as much time with friends and family over the years as he wanted.

He said: “I feel like I am missing out on a lot of things.”

“It wasn’t just when I wasn’t with Cherry. I missed every one of my friends’ birthday parties or events and New Years and stuff like that.“

“I think it is unhealthy feeling guilty for wanting success,”

Ed also spoke about living with "crippling social anxiety" that means he can't face rooms full of people.

Despite performing at stadium gigs around the world, the singer says he gets claustrophobic and doesn't like being in crowds.

He said: "I don't like large groups of people, which is ironic given I play shows to thousands of people.

"I feel claustrophobic and I don't like being around many people. I have no problem with talking to people. But it's when people film me and stare at me. It makes me feel weird."
