Disney’s long-awaited live-action remake of Tangled has officially found its leading duo.
The studio has confirmed that Titans actress Teagan Croft will step into the role of Rapunzel, while Disney Channel favourite Milo Manheim has been cast as the charming thief Flynn Rider. The film will be directed by Michael Gracey, best known for The Greatest Showman and Better Man!
Following the announcement, Manheim shared his excitement online, posting a comparison of himself with the animated Flynn and promising fans he would honour the beloved character. The actor, who has also appeared in holiday horror hit Thanksgiving, hinted at his enthusiasm with playful references to the original film. Croft has yet to comment publicly on her casting.

The new adaptation is being produced by Kristin Burr, whose recent credits include Cruella and Freakier Friday, with a script penned by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the filmmaker behind Do Revenge and the upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot.
The original animated Tangled featured Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi as Rapunzel and Flynn, and has remained a fan favourite since its 2010 release. Disney’s decision to bring the story to life follows the continued success of its live-action remakes.
With its leads now locked in, Disney’s Tangled remake is officially one step closer to letting down its hair.
