Anthony Boyle is the name on everyone’s lips — and now, he’s being whispered as the next James Bond. The Belfast-born star is riding high after a knockout performance in Netflix’s House of Guinness, and insiders say he’s suddenly a real contender to suit up as 007.

Critics have called him the show’s “secret weapon,” stealing scenes and turning heads with his raw intensity and screen presence. And now? Fans are wondering if Boyle could be the next man to order his martini shaken, not stirred.

The Bond role has been up for grabs since Daniel Craig hung up the tux in No Time To Die, and with no official replacement named, speculation has been spiralling for years. Names like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Henry Cavill, Theo James, and Callum Turner have all been thrown around — but Boyle’s recent rise has sent shockwaves through the conversation.

He might not fit the old-school Bond mould — but let’s face it, neither did Craig. And Boyle’s gritty, unpredictable energy could be just the shake-up the franchise needs.

Since Ian Fleming’s spy first exploded onto screens in the ’60s, only a handful of actors have worn the crown: Connery, Moore, Brosnan, Dalton, Lazenby, Niven, and Craig. Now, a new face is overdue.

As for the film itself? Still no title, no release date, and no official casting. But with Dune director Denis Villeneuve tipped to helm the next instalment and Peaky Blinders mastermind Steven Knight writing the script, expectations are sky-high.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson isn’t giving anything away. Asked about the Bond rumours at a red carpet event, he simply said, “I can’t talk about it.”

Fair enough — because while the world waits, the 007 throne is still wide open… and Anthony Boyle just kicked the door in!
