Amelia Dimoldenberg is heading to the big screen with a brand-new romantic comedy in development at Amazon MGM Studios’ Orion Pictures.
Best known as the creator and host of the hit interview series Chicken Shop Date, Dimoldenberg will not only develop the project but also star in it. The story follows a meticulous journalist whose carefully structured life begins to unravel after a routine celebrity interview sparks an unexpected romance, forcing her to rethink her views on love.
The film will be produced by Gloria Sanchez Productions — the company behind projects such as Booksmart — alongside Dimoldenberg. The screenplay is being written by Sarah Heyward, who has worked across both film and television, including major streaming projects.

Dimoldenberg has built an international profile through Chicken Shop Date, where she blends deadpan humour with awkward celebrity interviews in London chicken shops. Beyond her online success, she has served as a red carpet correspondent for the Academy Awards and recently launched Dimz, Inc., her own production company and creative initiative aimed at widening access to the media industry.
With this latest move into scripted film, Dimoldenberg is expanding her career from digital host to leading lady — bringing her signature charm to a full-scale romantic comedy.
