AI "actress" Tilly Norwood is making waves — and Hollywood's not happy!
She looks like your typical up-and-coming starlet on Instagram, complete with glossy headshots, comedy skits, and even fake appearances on The Graham Norton Show. But here’s the catch: Tilly isn’t real. She’s an AI creation by Dutch comedian Eline Van der Velden — and she’s reportedly already in talks with talent agencies.
“I may be AI, but I'm feeling very real emotions right now,” one post reads. Not everyone is amused.
SAG-AFTRA, the powerful actors’ union, slammed the move, calling Tilly a threat to real performers. “She has no life, no emotion — and no place in our industry,” they said. Celebs like Natasha Lyonne and Emily Blunt have also spoken out, with Lyonne urging a full boycott of any agency that works with her. Blunt called the whole thing “terrifying.”
Van der Velden defended her creation, calling Tilly a piece of digital art — not a replacement for human actors. But with Hollywood still recovering from strikes over AI and job protection, this digital diva has walked straight into a real-world storm!
