Lady Gaga dognapping case

Five people have been charged in connection to the shooting of Lady Gaga's dog walker and the theft of her animals.

One of those arrested was the lady who returned the singer's pets.

In February, Lady Gaga's dogs Koji and Gustav were stolen, while Miss Asia managed to escape and was later found nearby.

Her dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was shot during the violent encounter.

After hearing the news, Gaga offered a $500,000 reward for their return.

It wasn't long after this that a woman returned the two dogs to an L.A. police station.

Five people have since been arrested on a variety of charges including attempted murder and robbery.

As per Sky News, the lady who returned the dogs faces one count of receiving stolen property, and one count of accessory after the fact.

According to The Guardian, the LAPD revealed she's in a relationship with the father of one of the suspects.

It's understood those arrested didn't know the pet belonged to Lady Gaga.

As quoted by E!, District Attorney George Gascón said in a press release: "Evidence suggests the suspects knew the great value of the breed of dogs and was the motivation for the robbery."

He added, "This was a brazen street crime that left a man seriously wounded."

"We have alleged very serious charges in this case and have faith that justice will be appropriately served as this case unfolds in court."

All five were held on $1m bail each, according to The Guardian.

Lady Gaga has yet to comment.
