The 55-year-old fashion designer passed away yesterday. She was found dead in her New York apartment yesterday Morning.
The news broke yesterday evening and now her family have issued a statement to the New York Daily News;
“We are all devastated by today’s tragedy.
“We loved Kate dearly and will miss her terribly.
"We would ask that our privacy is respected as we grieve during this very difficult time.”
