At least 35 people are being treated following an explosion at an apartment block in West Broadway and Murray Street in Lower Manhattan.

One person is believed to be in a critical condition.

Latest reports suggest the incident was caused by a carbon monoxide gas leak after a basement fire at an apartment building.

Police are also believed to be investigating a suspicious package in a separate incident – just three blocks away from Ground Zero.
