Limerick businessman donates €1 million to every GAA county board

JP McManus presented €1 million to all GAA county boards in Ireland!

The generous donation to the GAA boards is confirmed to further invest in the national sport through the JP McManus Charitable Foundation.

In a statement Limerick GAA have welcomed the €1 million donation from JP and Noreen McManus and family "to distribute evenly to the GAA, Camogie and Ladies Football clubs within the county."

According to reports, Limerick clubs were notified of the news today with funds to be distributed before Christmas.

Limerick GAA chairperson Seamus McNamara said “We are delighted with the news today from the JP and Noreen McManus and family and their exceptionally generous donation. The clubs are the bedrock of the GAA and this will help in a time when costs are increasing for clubs to manage their funds. We are exceptionally grateful to JP, Noreen and all the McManus family for this fantastic donation.”

As first reported by Extra.ie, the money will be evenly distributed between GAA, camogie and ladies Gaelic football clubs.
