Throwing away perfectly good food, when so many in our communities go without, seems like a pretty wasteful thing to do.

That’s why in 2013, Tesco Ireland became founding partner of FoodCloud, a social enterprise set up by Iseult Ward and Aoibheann O’Brien. Their app enablesstores to connect with local charities, groups and organisations that were in need of surplus food to feed its benefactors and members.

To date, Tesco has donated over 4 million meals to more than 260 local groups across the country including family resource centres, soup kitchens, children’s breakfast clubs, elderly support groups and more.

But right now they need your help... If you know any local causes that can benefit from their Food Waste Initiative, let Tesco know bysuggesting a local cause at Tesco.ie/NoTimeForWaste

You can help make a difference too!
