Ireland has passed the Abortion Bill.

TDs in The Dáil voted on the Bill today.

102 of them voted in favour of abortion, 12 voted against it and 7 TDs abstained from voting.

Sinn Fein’s Paeder Toibin voted against the abortion bill, and now faces suspension from his party.

Minister Simon Harris has asked the Oireachtas health committee to sit during the Halloween break to progress it as quickly as possible and get the bill implemented into law.
