Super Typhoon About To Hit The Philippines

UNICEF is making preparations to respond to a Super Typhoon racing towards the Philippines.

Typhoon Mangkhut is expected to hit the country early tomorrow morning where winds of up to 255 km an hour and torrential rain are being forecast.

Authorities are evacuating thousands of people and closing schools in the north-east of the country before it hits tomorrow.

Around 5 million people are in the path of the massive storm.

Emergency services and the military have been put on full alert.
