RESULT: Ireland Has Voted To Repeal The 8th

After months of campaigning and debates, the people of Ireland have voted to repeal the 8th amendment.

Count centres across the country were hard at work since nine o’clock this morning, and the official result was announced shortly after five o’clock.

All but one constituency in Ireland voted YES (Donegal voted NO).

Here are the results from each constituency: 

Carlow/Kilkenny - YES 64% NO 36%

Cavan/Monaghan – YES 55% NO 45%

Clare - YES 64% NO 36%

Cork East – YES 64% NO 36%

Cork North-Central - YES 64% NO 36%

Cork North-West – YES 60% NO 40%

Cork South-Central - YES 69% NO 31%

Cork South-West – YES 65% NO 35%

Donegal – YES 48% NO 52%

Dublin Bay North – YES 75% No 25%

Dublin Bay South – YES 79% NO 21%

Dublin Central - YES 76% NO 24%

Dublin Fingal – YES 77% NO 23%

Dublin Mid-West – YES 73% NO 27%
