Peter O'Mahony says he hopes his future will be resolved by the New Year.

The Munster captain has been the subject of offers from clubs in England and France, after he rejected a contract offer from the IRFU to remain at the province beyond the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

Munster will already lose the services of Simon Zebo from the end of the 2017/2018 season, while O'Mahony's deal is also set to expire after the current campaign.

Speaking to the media this afternoon, O'Mahony said "It's well documented, obviously.

"You get offers from clubs England and France and I'm going to leave my agents sort all that side of it.

"It's very important for me to concentrate on two big test this weekend and the following weekend with Leicester but I'm hoping to have it wrapped up one way or another regardless by the end of the year."

The 28 year old continued to leave the door open to a possible departure but admitted he was 'absolutely' a Munster man through and through.

He added:

"It's professional sport and it's a short career so as I said I hope it will be done by the New Year."
