Meghan Markle and Prince Harry give explosive interview to Oprah about Royal Family

Conversations were had in the British Royal Family about how dark her son's skin could be, according to Meghan Markle.

Meghan and husband Prince Harry gave an explosive interview to Oprah Winfrey about the breakdown in their relationship with the Royals.

The couple sat down with Oprah for CBS and Harbo Productions for the interview, which will be broadcast on RTE 2 tonight.

Among the claims made were 'conversations' about son Archie's skin colour.

"There were also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he was born,” Meghan said.

She added that these conversations were had with Harry, but they both wouldn't reveal who he spoke to.

Meghan Markle also opened up about suicidal thoughts, and how she reached out to get help:

"I didn’t want to be alive anymore," she said. "That was a very clear and real and frightening, constant thought.”

'Trapped'

As for Harry, he said the couple didn't 'blindside' the Queen with their announcement that they would step away from Royal duties.

He added that his father, Prince Charles, stopped returning his calls:

Harry also expressed compassion for Prince Charles and his brother, William, saying they are 'trapped' in the institution and don't get to leave like he can.

However, all concerns from the couple didn't seem to directly involve the Queen, whom Meghan Markle was full of praise for:

"The Queen has always been wonderful to me," she said.

"I just really loved being in her company. She’s always been warm and inviting and really welcoming."

The couple also shared happy news in the interview, where they both revealed that Meghan, who is pregnant, is expecting a baby girl.
