Emergency services are at the scene of a fire at the Ringaskiddy deepwater port in Co Cork.

The R&H Hall company storage facility is currently burning and has been evacuated.

The 'Port Emergency Plan' has been activated after reports of the blaze first emerged at around 8.45am this morning.

Images on social media show a large cloud of smoke and tall flames rising from the building.

The Port Company has advised local residents to remain indoors and to keep their doors and windows shut.
