Trouble ahead for Limerick Football Club

Limerick Football Club has not been able to get a licence to play in the League of Ireland next year as liquidators look set to be appointed to the club.

Earlier today, court protection was removed from the club which entered the process of examinership in September.

It was revealed at the time that Limerick FC was around 490,000 euro in debt.

A spokesperson says everything possible has been done to secure the club's future and preserve employment.
