Limerick FC players are set to strike over issues around wage payments and player welfare.

They've released a statement through the P-F-A-I revealing that some players are still owed wages and expenses for March.

The players say the vote for strike action was unanimous and they hope supporters and other clubs understand they were 'left with no other option'.

Limerick's First Division match at Cobh will go ahead on Satursay but there's doubt over their fixture with Cabinteely on Friday week.
