Krispy Kreme are opening Irish shop in Dublin.

The donut franchise will open its doors at Central Plaza on Dame Street.

It follows from the success of their Blanchardstown store, which is one of the most popular Krispy Kreme outlets in the world.

The 234 square meter shop will open early next year and will sit between Dame Street and a pedestrian entrance to Temple Bar.

The Central Plaza will also be home to Ginos, WeWork, Bujo and Las Iguanas.

Peter Lynn, Director with Hines Real Estate, teased further exciting developments in the area in the weeks to come.

Senior Managing Director at the company, Brian Moran said he was "delighted" with the announcement.

“We are delighted that such an iconic brand as Krispy Kreme has chosen an equally iconic location as Central Plaza."

He said the company will bring an "exciting and beloved retail experience" to the heart of the city.
