Over 150,000 passengers look likely to be hit by an Irish Rail strike tomorrow.

Staff are walking off the job in a row over pay, as they seek a 3.75% rise to match Luas and Dublin Bus drivers.

However, management were only willing to offer a 1.75% increase during talks at the Workplace Relations Commission.

The stoppages will affect a number of services, including the DART and Commuter services.

The strike will affect all commuter routes including the Dublin-Limerick, Dublin-Tralee and Galway to Limerick routes.

Tomorrow will be the first of five days where no trains will be running. The other dates are:

  • Tuesday 7th November
  • Tuesday 14th November (includes Ireland v Denmark World Cup Play-off at Lansdowne Road)
  • Thursday 23rd November
  • Friday 8th December
