It happened around 1:10 am last night at the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Patrickswell.
The car struck the walls of the church and the vehicle incurred significant damage.

Emergency services responded to the scene in the aftermath of the crash.
Two men, a male in his teens and another in his 20s, were taken to University Hospital Limerick.
Their injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
