There's no time for hanging around when you're a member of the royal family, and Meghan Markle will find that out only three days after they marry this weekend.

Markle and Prince Harry will have to delay their honeymoon as they have important obligations on Tuesday, May 22nd.

The newlyweds first official engagement as husband and wife will be in honour of Prince Charles' birthday.

Other members of the family like Harry's brother Prince Williams are also expected to attend the Prince of Wales' 70th Birthday Patronage Celebration in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.

The gathering will celebrate Prince Charles' patronage, military affiliations and various charities he supports, the palace shared.

When Prince William and Kate Middleton exchanged their vows in 2011, they didn't get to go on their honeymoon to the Seychelles until a fortnight after the big day.

The details about Harry and Meghan's getaway are yet to be revealed, but hopefully Meghan doesn't mind waiting around for her new father-in-laws celebration.
