Secondary school students are being urged to get their research ideas in by the 27th of September.
There's no application fee, and qualifying projects will be showcased during a virtual exhibition in January.

Marie Cahalane, Head of the BT Young Scientist Exhibition, has this advice for people putting together an application:
"What the judges are looking for really is a novel approach to a subject. So if a student has thought of another way of looking at a piece of research or innovation that's what they really want to see."
She further added: "The only thing holding people back is their imagination when it comes to projects."
